IT & Tech Requests

Onboarding a new starter, requesting software or hardware, or getting access to a tool we already use — one page, start to finish.

Start a request ↓ Your answers go straight onto the IT tracker — you'll get a confirmation right here.

1Your details

2What do you need?

3New starter details

The theproductionlens.com address they should get — created by IT.
Their first set — what they need to do the job on day one. Start from the preset for the role, then add or remove. Anything else can be requested later.
Everything here is day one kit — it has to be on the desk before they can start. A second screen, a Wacom or a riser is a week-one-and-after thing: raise those as a Hardware request once they know how they work.

3Existing software access

Tick everything they need — start from a preset, then add or remove. If a tool isn’t listed here we don’t licence it yet: raise it as a New software request instead.

3Hardware request

Grouped by when it is normally needed. If this is for someone starting soon, raise an Onboarding request instead — it books their whole day-one kit and software in one go.

What happens after you submit

1 Logged & routed

Your request lands on the IT tracker and the owner for that request type is emailed within about 30 seconds. You're CC'd.

2 Approved if needed

Software requests and larger hardware spends go to the approver first — one click from their email approves it or sends feedback.

3 Actioned by the lead

The person who owns that tool or task gets it directly. Daily weekday reminders keep every open item moving.

4 Done & confirmed

When the work's complete it's stamped with who did it and when, and everyone involved — including you — gets the confirmation.
